A Late Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The year 2009 is long gone and the first days of 2010 have passed, already with some excitement around our home.

We spent Christmas Eve with Jenn's parents, uncle Rick and brother Steve & girlfriend Kayla, going to church together for a nice candlelight service. That night it snowed hard and Christmas morning we awoke to what appeared to be a foot of snow. It increased to two feet over the next two days! So...we spent Christmas Day at home, just the four of us, which ended up being really fun and relaxing.

On December 27th, we traveled down to Illinois without incident, although the roads were still a bit slippery, staying at a friend's house along the way (thanks Matt & Lisa!) We spent 8 days with Kirk's parents and saw plenty of friends and family. Kirk got to sit and listen to a sermon instead of give one for once :)

We returned to North Dakota and only Jenn got sick this year. We had Will's 4th birthday party the day before his birthday, January 9, at my grandparents' house, since we hadn't seen them over the Christmas holiday.
