And So On...

Well, I promised I would update sooner than I have. We're attempting to get ready for a rummage sale next Saturday and to spring-clean our house. It seems I barely have time for anything. I guess I'd better get used to it when the baby comes! :) Here is the remainder of our trip to California.
On Monday, we took the kids to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Thankfully, we had passes that someone gave to us, otherwise it would have cost $25 for each person to get in! William would have been free, but even so...
There were many exotic sea animals, like flourescent jellyfish, all types of sharks and huge fish, sea turtles, sea otters (we watched them perform but no pictures), and other creatures. The kids liked it alot, but they did move rather quickly from one exhibit to the next.
The "jellybean fish", as William calls them.

So we go to this aquarium with all these exotic animals...and Will gets the biggest kick out of chasing after a dirty pigeon...

We had a rather windy and kind-of chilly picnic at a place called "Lover's Point" after our adventure to the aquarium.

The time came for us to go back to North Dakota, and although it is good to sleep in your own bed, we really were sad to leave. The scenery and weather was absolutely beautiful, but more than that, we had such a wonderful time with our friends. Above, Kirk reads to Will as we wait to board the plane in San Francisco. Below, a view of the mountains from the plane.

When we were staying at Sara & Eric's before our flight to California, Will found a Napoleon Dynamite keychain and kept playing the phrase "Lucky!" over and over again. That's the way we felt to have gone on such a trip, although blessed would probably be a better term. We're so thankful that we had safe travels, that William was good on the plane, and that he was able to be a happy, cheerful little boy throughout the change in his schedule. What a wonderful trip!
