The Waiting is the Hardest Part

That song is in my head today as I've once again passed my due date with no baby :) We're waiting (sort-of) patiently for our third little one to arrive. It's good to have time to do a few last things before he/she comes but we're anxious to meet our baby! Kirk hopes baby will hold out until after Easter though so you never know! Please keep us in your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery.

Meanwhile, our other two children have been busy learning new things and driving each other crazy as we wait for warmer weather! Will said today while looking out the window at the rain, "I can already tell today is going to be a BORING day inside the house!"

As you can tell, our son is excited about summer and playing in the sandbox and at the playground. He told us last week though when it snowed that God brought the snow because He knew Will wanted more to build snowmen. Leah isn't a huge fan of snow but she loves splashing through the water puddles that have resulted from the repeated snow/melt cycles the past month.

Balloons from a birthday party Will attended. Lately he's been very helpful doing chores so he can earn "tickets" toward little treats and money. He finally enjoys doing crafts and other activities and plans out his day in detail; as in minute by minute. "First I'm going to brush my teeth, then clear my bowl off the table, wash my hands, then watch Dinosaur Train..."

Kirk shoveling snow filled with gravel into the street--thanks to the street plows our yard is full of the stuff!

Leah loves to play mommy, laying her babies down for naps. She is also big on singing as you'll see in the video below. She sings all the time, anything from Old MacDonald to Blessed Assurance. She likes to pray at night during devotions and gets a big kick out of praying for inanimate objects (Mommy's bed, the TV, etc). Everyday she thinks of something she can do when she is "older" like go to preschool, play at the playground and be a mommy. We told her there should be about 20 years between starting preschool and being a mom!
