Catching Up...

December was a crazy month, as most Christmas seasons go. It was fun to do some crafty things and Christmas-themed learning activities with the kids, since most days it was a bit too cold to go outside (at least until Kirk got home and could go out with us).

We had professional pictures taken of our family for the first time in a long time.

Leah's a big fan of having me take her pictures nowdays.

Down in Illinois for our annual visit after Christmas, we spent alot of time outside. After a few days, the temperature rose to 55 degrees and the snow disappeared!

Another trip to Choo-Choo Johnny's. Leah enjoyed it more this year.

Love my little girl!

Uncle Jon, who is a Marine, was home in Illinois over Christmas and New Year's. Will & Leah enjoyed playing with him and randomly texting people on his phone.

Thorson Christmas also means a little birthday party for Will, whose birthday is January 10. We got to see Kirk's sister Julie & her family too.

Kirk was privileged to baptize the son of some friends of ours in Illinois. He's also our first godchild! It was fun to snuggle and hold him, newborns are so precious!

Back at home, I had to capture a peaceful moment between my children while they looked at a book together.

Will's birthday cake, made by Grandma Elaine! He had a fun birthday party with some friends from preschool and church.

 Family picture on Will's birthday.
