Swine Flu and Freelance Writing

What do these two things have to do with each other? Let us explain. :)

These past couple of weeks, our family has been sick with what we think was the swine flu. Sadly enough, we couldn't even go in to get tested because the clinics weren't even testing, unless you were really, really sick and had a high fever. Will, Leah & I all had fevers, a dry cough, nasal congestion, headaches and body aches and tiredness for several days. Kirk was fortunate to have minimal symptoms, so he may not have even had the flu! We are thankful that we are on the mend now and most likely won't need to get vaccinated. Swine flu is everywhere up here and 92% of reported cases of the flu in ND (or possibly more) are H1N1.

Now, moving on to the other portion of this post--freelance writing. I (Jenn) have been privileged to be invited to be an author on a website called The Untrained Housewife. The website was recently started by a Christian lady who is a very successful freelance web writer and is skilled in public relations. The website has lots of information on everything from cooking to gardening to saving money to parenting to keeping yourself healthy. Coming soon are reviews of Christmas gift ideas and plenty of fresh insight into holiday planning, eating and preparation.
