We've had some amazingly nice weather in September. Every day except the first day of the month has been above average temperature, most days 80 degrees or above. Because we were not been graced with warm weather in July and August, when it's supposed to be hot, our family has taken advantage of the heat and played in the wading pool most days, going on long walks in the evening. Here are some scenes from the past month.

Some friends came to visit, bringing their kids, Lena & Ethan, who are very close in age to Will & Leah.
A friend came to stay for a couple of days and brought her son, Gideon. He and Will had lots of fun playing in the pool.
Big brother must have had something funny to say!
Leah loves to put a purse over her arm like she's a big girl. She's also fond of putting on everyone's shoes, pulling Tupperware out of the cupboard, and taking a washcloth out of the drawer and wiping the floor and dining room chairs.
And yes, she's wearing cloth diapers :)
Leah likes to pull all of Will's farm machinery out of the toy cupboard and sit in it, wiggling her toes and feet excitedly, since they don't quite reach the ground!

On our trip to the cities this past week, I met up some of my college classmates. I went to night school, so we had a consistent small class of 9 people. Several came later, after we had to take the kids back to the hotel for the night :)
